Ultra violet– visible-near infrared Spectroscopy

Ultra violet– visible-near infrared UV Vis NIR Spectroscopy.

The UV Vis Spectrophotometer is used to determine absorption by measuring the percentage of light passing through a sample. The instrument is capable of measuring absorbance for the wavelength range of 190nm to 11nm.

Fabrication step: Characterisation
Function: Surface - thin films
Location: Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication
Purpose: The spectrophotometer can be used for measuring the spectrum of inorganic gold nanoparticles. The synthesis of the nanoparticles is particularly useful for self-assembly studies. Chemical Characterisation.
Material systems: All materials
Node: Victoria
Specifications/resolution: Agilent Cary UV Vis Spectrophotometer
